Joe,
people want to believe and that provides a wonderful oportunity for professional sellers to hike prices to unload their holdings. There is nothing sinister in this though regulators may frown on this.No seller of anything-cars, steel or pens- will mark down prices and then sell. One is supposedly unethical while the other is definitely lunacy.

Broking houses and gurus giving targets for benchmark indices are very useful: for people to have a good laugh-which as many doctors will tell you is good for health. That is why in all pictures I see you,Joe,with a lovely grin.

To say prices mean something-support, trend ...- is to satisfy the basic need for every human being to label anything and everything.

As Shakespeare's Juliet says, "...What's in a name? that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet..." I and my account balance prefer to think of it as supply and demand equilibrium price zones:)
